Thought: Sometimes we have to love people the way that they need or want to be loved, not the way we want to love them or the way we think we should love them. We destroy ourselves with the expectations of others and the neurotic expectations we have for ourselves. It doesn’t matter what other people think about the way I love my children; it matters how my children feel about the way I love them…Sometimes the thing we think looks like “perfect” parenting is something that doesn’t interest our children at all…
Ask your family how they would like to be loved….
